The Ankarsrum Assistent Original® stand mixer has been manufactured in Sweden since 1940. Every Assistent is individually tested before it leaves the factory, upholding the standards of quality, performance, functionality, and design.
The Essential Package includes a 7-Liter Stainless Steel Bowl, Dough Roller, Dough Knife, Dough Hook, Spatula, Proofing Lid, a digital recipe book, and a 7-year warranty on the base. It’s everything you need to knead, whip, and mix.
The Ankarsrum Assistent Original (AKM6230) Essential Package is a versatile stand mixer. The package includes the essential tools needed to knead, whip, and mix everything from bread dough to cake batters. You can also build your Assistent for the way you like to cook with our optional accessories; you can make homemade ice cream, smoothies, fresh pasta, burgers, freshly squeezed juice, and so much more.
The Ankarsrum Assistent Original® is a powerful, versatile stand mixer with a distinctive design that has set it apart since 1940. Unlike traditional stand mixers with the motor in the head, the Assistent Original has its motor in the base, creating a low center of gravity and exceptional countertop stability. The machine base is backed by a 7-year warranty, adding confidence in its quality and durability.
At the heart of the original 1940 design is the Dough Roller, Ankarsrum’s signature tool for kneading, mixing, and even whipping. As the stainless steel bowl rotates, the Dough Roller gently processes ingredients against the side of the bowl, mimicking the motion of hand kneading for bread and other yeast doughs. The adjustable Dough Roller can also be used to mix batters, whip cream and egg whites, and more. For bakers who prefer a different kneading method, the included Dough Hook makes it easy to choose the technique that works best for your recipe.
The motor automatically adjusts its power based on the load, providing consistent performance as you mix and knead, while the unique gear system delivers powerful yet quiet operation. Two control knobs make operation simple: one provides variable speed control, while the other serves as the on/off switch and built-in timer.
The spacious 7-Liter Stainless Steel Bowl can handle up to 5 kg (11 lbs.) of dough, ideal for small and large batches. It can also accommodate recipes with up to 1.5 liters of liquid.

Shipping Information
Most orders are shipped out in 1-2 business days, but please allow 5-10 business days for your order to be shipped out. Should an item go out of stock, you will be contacted for replacement or refund options. All tracking numbers will be included in the shipping confirmation email you receive at the time of package being shipped out.
We offer expedited shipping options at checkout should you need your order sooner. By selecting an expedited shipping option, we will place your order at the top of our shipping que and send out with faster delivery date service either from UPS or USPS.
Return Information
Your items are eligible for return as long as you have a receipt/order number, items are able to be put back in original packaging, and the item is in new condition.
Items must be returned within 14 days of the delivery date for a refund back to your original form of payment. This means the return must be in-transit back to us within that 14 day window. All returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee and you must return the item in the same packaging/box that it was sent to you in.
If no receipt/order number is able to be provided, a store credit/gift card will be issued for the amount of the return. Please note that any items on sale, or marked as final sale are NOT eligible for return.
